Rough Idle, Sulfur smell, blinking service engine light

Today i started my car, 2K GXE Auto, 47,500 miles, and noticed a mild shaking from the engine bay. Gave it a little gas and the shaking got heavier. AS I was driving to work, every time I would accelerate the car it would have that shake, and when I came to a stop when almost stopped it would shimmy a bit. Its not the tranny. A couple times I smelled a bad sulfur smell, then while I was at a light, the sulfur smell came back really strong, the service engine light began to blink for about 10 seconds, then the car idled fine and the service engine light went back out.
Anyone else have this problem?

Not sure. I guess thats one thing to have checked out.

Just seemed strange to have the problem then to have it just completely go away.

I wonder if it will be back when I go to start my car up tonight.

Had the same problem... 2K SE with 46k miles.

Turns out it was bad coil packs. I'd seen the problem mentioned throughout the forum (usually concerning a TSB), and lo and behold, at 45k my "Service Engine Soon" light came on.

After putting it on the scanner, the local Nissan service department let me know that the code came back as a failure of 3 or more coils, and they replaced all 6 under warranty.

Now the car runs with no hesitation, and no stumble at idle.

Hope the info helps.

Definitely coil packs causing it to misfire.

It can/will damage your catalytic convertor, so get them fixed soon.

Same problem

My car barley goes over 80mph lol. Once I hit 3k rpms it sounds like a Rev limiter is kicking in or something is plugged and preventing my car from further accelerating. Then it won't shift unless I let off the gas a bit. And 3/5 times my engine light blinks or codes p0420 or p0455 show up. Has new plugs and fuel filter. Putting new coils on today otherwise I think the Cat is plugged or just junk.

Did you look up the P0420 code? It will confirm what you already think...P0455 code is completely different so you better be sure about your engine codes.
