Special Edition '03 SE

Hi everyone! I have been around for awhile learning all I could about this amazing car but did not actually register until the Max was for sure. The '03 Max lineup will include a "titanium edition" SE. No details as to what this includes yet. Had expected to be getting an '02 but my dealer says no more orders are being taken, which was fine by me. My 6spd HLSD Maj Blue titanium edition should be in by June if the anticipation doesnt kill me first.

Cool.

If you find out anymore details on what the "titanium edition" adds, let me know.

Sounds interesting but I have a real hard time believing that the 2003's will be released in June, probably late August.

I bet just like the SE-Limited editions phased out the 4th gens, the "03 titanium edition" will be the phase out car for the 5th gens. Probably having similar features as the SE-L's do. They should be nice looking cars!

my order was delayed

my order was delayed 3 weeks ago, so I asked about changing an option I wish I had initially ordered. He said if I changed my order, I'd have to wait for the 2003 model.

Anyone know when the first 2003 models will actually show up? Is June the earliest?

I told him to keep my order and I'll wait 3 weeks instead of 3 months, thanks.

Re: my order was delayed

i always thought the 2k3 was going to be remodelled too, i guess it will be for 2004. it seems as if it will be coming in june, maybe it will be kinda a 2002.5 , then the 2003 will be the remodelled one? or have i just not been on the board enough lately to see what happened to the 2k3.

OK, any new info on this 03 Titaniam thing, or is 03MaxPassion just full of $hit? It would make sense to have a special edition before the remake. Honda is doing it now with the Accord. I will hold off on my purchase if in three months there will be a newer one out. I want to wait until the last minute to get this car. It seems that the 4DSC will be gone for the next remake.

I doubted this info at first but now that you bring that up, I'm thinking this is probably correct. Good idea.

All that my dealer told me was that there was another option on the ordering sheet he fills out for the factory, called titanium package. Said it would not increase the price considerably and that he figured I would want it so he went ahead with it. I do not expect this to be anything performance or even exterior enhancing. On the '02 SE the guages are already titanium-tinted so i would assume others additions of the sort. Possibly a different dash or seat embrodiery etc. Ever heard of the GMC Jimmy diamond edition? Really does nothing but increase the price and make it something slightly different from the others. I will go down and talk to him tomorrow to find out more information but im sure there's nothing to get excited about. When I know Ill be sure to pass it on. Also he was assured that it will be delivered in June. Maybe hes getting the first one?? I do not know. For those who are still unsure..... the '03 Max will still be a 5th gen, repeat.....the new model will not be out until early next year.

A 2003 in June? Why, they just released the revised 2002, I would think they would want to ride it out for the year and come out with the '03 in Sept...

The '03 Max will look like the '02 Max except the limited package may be offered. The '04 Max will be a 6th gen and it will be available in early '03. The same way that the '03 G35 is now available in early '02.

That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

What special options does your car have that prior year SE's didn't have?

Odd, but it sounds like...

a slightly different version of my AE, just different colors, some stitching, etc.

Yet again, no major reason to part with it...

The only reason would be the brute torgue of the 3.5 and HID's.

NO. That would be a reason to get any old SE (or other model for that matter).
