Raced a mustang Gt tonight

Ok so my girlfriend and I heading to the mall tonight, and i pull up to the light next to a gt stang, and i wasn't thinkn anything of it b/c i don't race with my girl in the car (she hates it). Anyway the light goes green and this guy takes off, so im like why not give it a try, i floor it. In first gear he stayed about the 2 cars he had on me off the line cause i wasn't lookn to race, anyway i slowly was gaining and by the time i was near the end of 2nd gear I was right on his tail and slowly pulln even more on him, then of course he shuts his car down, right when i get into my 3rd gear. Ahh it would have been so nice to just pull by him in my auto max. As far as the year i think it was a 96-98 gt and i couldn't tell if he was auto or 5-speed. I just wish I would have been ready off the line to race that guy. ahh well maybe next time.

As far as i know he was flooring it, it was pretty loud, but i am pretty sure now that he was an auto too.

What year stang?

96-98 GT's (especially autos) were turds. They do good to crack 14's in the 1/4...

99+ GT's are much better and the autos can hit low 14's stock...
