Is this a 198 bulb? I cant get the damn thing out! Anyone know what kind of bulb it is, and how the hell to get it out?

 

It's easy to take it out, just pull on it and yank it side to side as you pull......It's the same bulb as the bulb in your front side door lights. Putting it back in is the hard part...it was more complex cuz it wouldn't stay in there as good and made little contact with metal piece to give it power.

Anyways, i changed that ugly white bulb to a superwhite bulb, looks so much better now.

It is a 194, but I assume that is what you meant. It is way easier to change if you remove the whole glove compartment first.

 

194/168 any wedge that size is fine. I have a PIAA Xtreme White in there right now. Looks really nice. I might just put some of my 194 LED's in there for kicks.

 

Yeah i thought it was a 194...I have an extra super white i was gonna throw in there but I cant get the thing out! Ill try again tonight...

 

Anyone know what the bulb size would be on a 5thgen glove box? I checked and it's definitely not a 194/168..

 

UMM, All you need to do is remove the 6 screws holding in the glove box and you will see the light fixture on the back. Just unclip it and swap out the bulb. 194 wedge bulb.
