Whistler Trip: Pilot Sport A/S Report
Whistler Trip: Pilot Sport A/S Report
Just a quick one for all you Pilot Sport owners or potential owners. I took a trip to Whistler this weekend for some late season skiing and snowmobiling. Yes, I'm a bastard but I can deal with that.
The Pilot's were great. I just drove home this evening and the snow was falling 200 miles of the trip. Heavy snow, slush, and wet pavement. Limited slipping...a bit to be expected when I was driving around Whistler Village. The roads were SUV territory but the Max on Pilot's handled it well.
Now, I am a somewhat experienced snow driver with extensive winter driving time in D.C. and Boston so my story might be different than most. Just letting you know if you care...I'll take questions.
In case anybody cares...the massage at the Fairmont Whistler Spa was great...I highly recommend their services.
In case anybody is wondering, yes this post was intended to rub it in since I have been catching up on work all damn night and wanted to remember how nice it was to spend the weekend on the slopes and let all you guys know too.

Oh yeah...and...
No significant gas mileage changes during the trip from my last few trips this season regardless of the addition of the freak Berk/Frankencar intake combination.
So they are good in the snow.... I have read the reviews so I have some idea, How do they handle on dry pavement?? Are they noisy? Ride vs. re92's??? I have to deal with s**t roads over here in Boston and I got a spike in one of my sidewalls Friday night
Needless to say I am not going to buy another re92 and I want to replace all of them.
On another note, I know your ride is lowered. I think I am going to do the same How has the oeverall ride been?
