What Chicagoland dealers will do TSB work under warranty?
I've been to: Fergus, Star, Arlington, and Woodfield. All of these dealers want to charge me to do TSB work and thats total B.S.

I went into Arlington Nissan and they gave me the same crap!!

 

Is your car under warranty? If so, make your concern "fit" the related TSB and the really have no choice but to perform the fix.

If you are outta warranty then you probably will be asked to pay because a TSB does NOT extend the warranty to fix that concern. A TSB is released (because of many of the same concerns or high warranty repair $$$$ costs at many stores) to help the tech fix a problem that MAY be present on a certain vehicle under a certain condition. If you do not have that concern then don't have the TSB performed. Having a TSB done because you want it done will actually (in a small but measurable way) in the long run make the cost of the next new car you buy increase (along with MANY other factors...don't start the they make all the money crap either, I think you get my point) because the manufactures figure warranty costs into every vehicle they sell. I could go over the many fine points of what is and what MOST people think should be warranty but I do not wish to start down that ugly road.
The above is based on 22+yrs in the auto service business an having delt with many manufactures, I am now employed at a Toyota Dealer.
