Pics of new 2002 Maxima Trenz Grille.

I just got a call from Trenz, they said that they just completed the 2002 Maxima grille today. Here is a picture of what it looks like. Please tell me your thoughts about how it looks, I asked them if it is possible to make the grille without the "V" on top and they are going to see if it can be made that way. That "V" is there for support during the cutting process. CustomMaxima.com will have them in stock soon. Not sure on price yet but it should be close to the 97-99 Maxima Grille price. The valence for the 2002 as well as 2000 and 2001 grille and valence will be coming soon. Email me with any questions.

Not a good looking grill. Is this the only grill made? I thought they were working on a 2K & 2K1 as well....?

Re: Pics of new 2002 Maxima Trenz Grille.

hmm...i always wanted to have a billet grille for the max, but when i saw that pic, i was like bleah!!! IMHO, it made the maxima look like a dull car. maybe it was just that little V (lancer?) or the picture made it look worse than it actually is. the current grille on custommaxima.com looks great and i'll prolly get that. aloha.

Maybe the grill looks ugly cause the car is stock. Maybe if you add some wheels and spoilers it might look OK.

That is pretty ugly. I bet it would look better painted black. I like the speed grill better (the one already on your site). The speed grill painted black...forget about it. I would buy one in a second for my 02.

Would look a lot better with a silver/chrome frame around it like the altima.

Greg

Will the 2K-2K1 require cutting out the stock grill?

Something about that grill reminds me of the G20.

Hopefully, they can make it look like a Billet grill, not house A/C panels.

it doesnt look good on the altima. the story isnt different for the maxima. it doesnt even work for the lancer, and the lancer has it stock. =P

I almost always agree except for this one case...

Looks sweet on that car. I think it would look better on a Maxima if we had a real silver color, but right now there's no color that really complements the grill.

I like the one on the Stillen Orange Alty. Do you know if they plan to make that one for the 2k-2k1?

I like the idea of a different grill, but this one reminds me of a miniture Lincoln Navigator. Maybe it's the center support, I don't know. Augie recommended adding wheels and a spoiler . You shouldn't have to spend another $1000 to divert attention away from your new grill! Body color/black chrome/or billet with maybe 7 to 9 larger diameter crossmembers instead of 20+ smaller ones is my recommendation. I think I'll pass on this one.

Yeah...I think the original speed grill looks best, to bad theres not one available for the 2k2. I would rather have the stock grill versus that billet.

the grille is way too flat looking for the maxima. the maxima's front is kinda blunt, thick and substantial looking. the trenz grille takes away all definition from the grille area.

Not worth it at all, they would have to pay me to disgrace my maxima by putting it on.

Actually I dont like that trenz grill on the 2k2 b/c it looks too much pushed in & flat....maybe if it was out more w/ a curve & chorme trim around it would look better....Here check out these pics & compare yourself.....

Between the two I prefer the factory grill... The Trenz one is nasty.

maybe a black maxima wasnt the best color choice. it would probably look better on sterling mist. notice how the altimas you have liked with the grill are silver?
