2K2 Trac Control Question

Probably being too over cautious but it says in the manual that
"If a malfunction occurs in the traction control system, the SLIP and 'tcs off' indicator lights come on in the meter panel....."

I notice that the SLIP light will come on when there is some slipping. Just a question to those who have TCS on their 2k2 when traction is lost does the slip light come on for you?

I am pretty sure theres a malfuction when BOTH slip and tcs off are lighted up...hopefully i will get some answers

Thanx in advance guys

I keep mine turned off. It is the first thing I do everytime I get in the Max. I live in Southern Caalif, so rain or snow dont exist....I have noticed the "SLIP" light does come on , when TCS is on, and I punch it...That means its doing its job, slowing you down off the line...

Unfortunately I do not share you luck where snow doesn't exist

I have found out that it is ONLY when BOTH the tcs off and slip start flashing there is a malfunction in the trac system

Is there any incentive in turning it off (except of course when you're trying to get out of a snow bank which is obviously not your case)?
