It's interesting if you think about it, the GT-R is actually a totally different looking animal from the G35... as it's going to be a coupe

pretty bland car(s)...technically maybe nice, but styling borders on being a rolling tranquilizer...

that is a JDM nismo V35 skyline (gts25 i think). why cant everyone just accept the fact that the skyline has and always will be the tamer car that the non-GT-R's are. The GT-R's have always been a totally different beast, which is why nissan is no longer going to associate the GT-R with the skyilne.

GTR != Skyline
GTR != Skyline
GTR != Skyline
GTR != Skyline
GTR != Skyline
GTR != Skyline
GTR != Skyline

skyline

the skyline originated as a sedan. everyone mistakes the skyline as the GTR. The GTR will be a new car.. out of their own label. It is still in their concept stages, so it will look different from its original appearance. The g35/skyline coupe is coming 5-6 months from now, w/ a 6 speed. sedan might come w/ a 6 speed around that time...

either way.. this car is pretty good. almost 50/50 weight distribution, w/ a 0-60 at 6.2 on an automatic. it is actually really good for the price range. i can't wait til i test drive one of those.

In North America that car is an Infiniti G35, in Japan if I remember correctly that car is named Skyline 300GT. Remember Infiniti does not exist outside of North America just like Acura, (Acura NSX = Honda NSX).

The car we all know and wet our pants over, the Skyline GT-R is based upon a 4 door sedan or coupe known in Japan as the Skyline GT of various configurations and is only sold in Japan. ( Similar to the Supra being based upon the GS platform)

I was in Tokyo in February and saw many of them and got confused when I saw foor doors on some of them. I found them rather ugly in anything but the GT-R form.

Here is a link with some info straight from Nissan...

http://www.nissan-global.com/EN/STOR...Y-MC92,00.html

For the last time the Altima is not based on the Skyline and hasnothing to do with it. The rear suspension of the Altima takes "design cues" as one magazine puts it but that is it.

$2000 for a navigation system = very dumb driver behind the wheel. The savy yuppy would opt for the $129 Visor with the GPS Handspring unit ($249 IIRC) and spend the remainder on mods

i believe it's 48/52. and that's so that it shifts weight to 50/50 upon acceleration.
