Just bought a new Maxima GLE 2002. Love the car except for a click noise that drives me crazy. I hear that noise whenever I release the gas pedal - like in a stop and go traffic where you have to do the press/release sequence all the time. Took it to the dealer and they were also able to hear the noise (can easily be reproduced even without turning the ignition on, just press and release the gas pedal couple of times and that click sound will start occuring) but told me that it is normal and is due to the "Drive by Wire" (or something like that) concept being used on all 2002 models.

Is that so?? Have anyone of you experienced such click noise?
