I am so close......

I found a buyer for my current car. Should get the check tomorrow. Tonight I went to Trophy Nissan. They have the exact car I want except this one has the Meridian package. They gave me a price of $26,700. I know that is around $700 under invoice. Here is the only issue. To get me that price, they are using the Nissan $1000 rebate and I will not qualify for the 0.9 financing. Is this still a good deal? I have also been quoted the same price for a Max w/o the Meridian package. I need to find out if they are doing the same thing with the rebate.WHat do you think the lowest I can get is? Only desired options are:
Leather
Bose
Sunroof
Side airbags (not a make or break)

Thanks;

Nathan
I hope to be cruising in a 2k2Max soon.

That all depends...

on how much you plan on financing, if any...

If you put little down, (and since you didn't mention what rate you COULD get), the overall interest savings over time should be more than $1000.00.

If you put alot down or pay it all, take the $1000.00, the interest effects over time won't help you...

As for the price itself, who knows? Again from reading a number of posts, seems to depend on dealer, geographical location, your persistence, etc.

Again, it all depends on how much you're financing... work the numbers out. I'd try to work on the price... you could probably get part of the $1000 dollars out of it and then it would benefit you to use the 0.9% financing. I got mine below invoice and with 0.9% financing at the end of last year, and I couldn't be happier paying almost no interest over 3 years.

Sorry for the confusion. I am getting $7500 for my current car. Then I plan on another $7500 down. Therefore the finance rate will not kill me. I just hate to pay for options I don't need. I got another quote for an SE with leather, bose, sunroof for $27K that is with 0.9% I might do that intead.

Thanks for all the advice.
