apexi WS catback exhaust questions...

anyone here have the apexi WS catback exhaust for their maxima? i have it installed on mine...and i've had minor problems. when i drive extremely hard or take turns hard...the exhaust will shake/rattle. i can hear it from inside the car and i know it's hitting something. i've been told that if i replace the exhaust rubber hangers...that may help. any other remedies or suggestions??? any and all help would be appreciated. thanks again everyone.

Take a look under neath and see if it is riding really close to anything on either side. If so maybe when your turning thats what your hitting. See if the hangers can be adjusted to get it further away if there is anything there.

Pep Boys sells them for like $6-10 each, and i would assume any local muffler shop could throw them on for you.

Check the rear tie down loop

When I installed mine (Apexi WS)I thought it was too close to the rear right hand bracket that's used for strapping down the cars when they are shipped. I removed mine. It was easy, only two bolts. The bracket is just forward of the bumper. I also used my old rubber hangers, they were still in good shape with 100K miles.

Re: Check the rear tie down loop

How big is the exhaust tip of the WS? 4" OD?

Also, does anyone has the pic showing it on a 97-99 max? I want to get an idea of how it looks like. Please send me a pic to john99sel@yahoo.com.

Its the rubber hangers. Lovejoy experienced this same problem. Apparently, the WS muffler is a little heavier than the stock one. He replaced the hangers and the problem was solved.

Does this bolt to the Cat? Or does it bolt to the "S" pipe (the short piece behind the cat and before the B-pipe)

I have a 97, so my "S" pipe has an O2 sensor hole, does the Apexi WS have this?
