There are a few people who haev it done. 1/3 there 2/3 to go and Craig Mack both have this mod. I think they may have both been either a 95 or 96. What year max do you have?

anyone can do it... you just have to either do the camaro setup or remove the spare tire well.

Duals coming out of one muffler..like a flowmasters with 1 inlet and 2 outlets...but then again my friends 2000 V6 stang has dual pipes from the headers (came like that stock I think).

Here is a shot of my setup just to give you an idea.

Most Dual exhaust cars used to come this way. It is the most direct way to get the gasses out but I think some manufacturers use the "camaro method" because of cost.

All the muscle cars from the sixties and early seventies had individual pipes from either side of the engine. Some had a crossover tube right behid the tranny which formed an "H" and some had the tubes join and then re-separate forming an "X". some of the late dual cars (Z28, Trans Am) used the single muffler with dual tailpipes to solve tube routing problems caused by their ground clearance and floorpan design. If the single muffler/dual tail setup is designed properly it can flow better than the true dual setup because of the scavenging effect which helps to keep exhaust velocity up.

I'm not sure there is a performance gain for the Max but it sure does look good!

Actually it does look better than I would have thought. Pretty sleek looking since those are so thin and blend nicely.
