pic of new battery tie down

This is the new one from Alex of www.southwestautoworks.com, sorry if the pic isn't too clear. My digicam is a cheapo one. Also, please excuse the dirty Optima battery.

Btw, if the tie down seem a bit off, it is. I need to correct that. I did this in a hurry, so it's not perfect.

looking at that pic, it seems that the pc doesn't fit flush in between the 2 humps on the optima battery. the space between the 2 humps shoud be about 1 3/4"

i just ordered 1 today. if it doesn't fit flush i will try to grind both sides of the tie down and repolish it.

1)is that the same K&N filter that comes with the PlaceRacing CAI?? im asking cause i need the part# for it, maybe you have it?

2)also how does that tie down fit on the front half of the Optima where the two bumps are? I have the same battery and dont want it to be slanted or anything. I already ordered my tie bar too from Alex, real nice guy!

thanks,

Ant

Actally, it fits between the the two bumps almost perfectly. The pic doesn't show it real good though. One thing though, the supplied nuts didn't fit onto my j-hooks. Good thing I had a bunch of nuts around and found the ones that fit.

As far as the the CAI, I bought it from Custommaxima before the switch to the non K&N filter. So, yeah the K&N filter came with the CAI kit. I don't know the part number though.
