It is easy...just push towards the back of the car on the front corners of the third brake light housing and lift slightly up...it will basically hinge out and you can disconnect the plug without going thru all the trouble of removing bulbs...tape the plug to itself to keep from rattling and slide the brake light housing back into the rear deck.

Best of luck and Happy Motoring!

just to let you know nissan makes a cover for that hole in your rear deck, if you would want to totally remove the 3rd brake light so it doesnt sit there useless. there are part numbers for this cover if you go to the main page and then faq.

That's what I've been looking for. I went to the dealer and they looked at me like I was stupid or something. I just looked all thru the FAQ thread and found nothing. If you can find it and let me know where to look, I would greatly appreciate it. That way I can go back to the stupid parts counter boy and prove him wrong. Thanks.

I got mine from Regal Nissan in Roswell. I'll find the part number or talk to you about it on Saturday at the show.
