? on 300ZX brake upgrade.

I hear you need 17" rims for this. Why? 300zx rims are 16" as well. I think the only clearance problem is with the new caliper hitting the inside of the wheel......where it mounts to the rotor. If thats the case wheel spacers and perhaps some longer studs should do the trick right?

Aaron

Anyone have a pic of a max w/ this done?

Does it have something to do with offset?

people say the caliper is wider......no kidding right.....but the overall diameter of the setup cant be that much bigger to need 17 inchers...i think they just wont clear the hub on the wheel without a bigger offset....ie wheel spacers......

na 300zx 16x7.5 will work as well. along with 16x7.5 koseis basically anything that fits a 90-96 na 300zx would work ... the diameter isnt as important as offset and spoke design.

they will fit under something smaller than 17s, the rotor will only be ~11" . so you dont have to worry about overall diameters (i think someone said it could fit under 15s) you should be more concerned with the spoke design not clearing the calipers

i think ppl are having their doubts about 99 se's clearign with spacers. the sad thing is, you won't know if they'll clear with spacers or not until you get the Z brakes on and put on you 98's

right now, im looking into getting some used Z rims and then maybe doing the swap
