noisy blower motor

so i go to the dealer and they say they have to put on a cover

1. has anybody received this and will it work to keep the noise down?
2. do you think the motor could just be a bad one?

i don't think the cover is going to work, do you?

You will most likely be back to the dealer if they just change your cover. Ask them to change the whole motor unit. They replaced the cover twice before they replaced the the blower unit. Others on the board have had similar experiences.

I had a similar problem and the dealership replaced the blower motor. I would insist that they replace it rather than sticking on a cover. Check the TSB.
