Just Order Wsp Y-pipe

i called warpspeed tonight expecting to get an answering machine to leave a message and i turns out that dallas happened to be at the shop. that guy has to be one of the nicest guys. we talked for an hour and a half. he is seemingly very honest. anyway is there any tips or suggestions for my installation of the y-pipe?

NO I under stand I attempted to get a hold of someone for about 4 days...hince my comment "if they can meet our demand".....they have a superior product, but inferior customer service with no online ordering.....I have had 4 replys in emails responses, so I guess I am lucky....

Keep trying ...it is worth the wait...

Well actually I know it will be worth it. I talk to Buss95Max, which got me into Maxima's...and I know Im going to get them because I know I want my car to run like his. I just got my car yesterday and I already ordered springs and struts and other small cosmetic stuff and trying to order my CAI. Next up is y-pipe, and valve body.

As for install, I tried doing it by myself and gave up when one of the bolts on the cat wouldn't give. A good friend of mine works at Nissan dealership. So we went in there on Saturday last weekend and worked on it. The recommendation I have is spray EVERY BOLT you need to take out with some kind of pentrating chemical made for exhausts. Let it soak in for a while (30 minutes maybe). Then try and impact wrench. One bolt was still not budging on the cat so we cut it off with a torch and put a new bolt in it. Good luck.

I tried to do it myself, but it was a byach!! That one bolt on the upper flange is nearly impossible to get too. Plus the bolts were so rusted. I ended up getting it done for about $70 at a local shop.

Since then I've taken the pipe on and off quite a few times and it's much easier. The hard part is getting the stock pipe off, changing the aftermarket pipe is easy.

Tips:
- Don't bother trying to unclip the O2 sensor leads, just take them out and leave then all twisted up, so when you reinstall they are fine.
- Use anti-sieze on the threads of the O2 sensors.
- If you can't get the bolts off the cat/Y-pipe section, cut them off and get new bolts (much easier)
- You might have to bend the bracket that the Cat/Y-pipe joint.
- Get A LOT of Liquid Wrench or WD40, and let them soak overnight or for a few hours.
- Get some long extensions for the upper flange bolts.
- If it's too hard, call around and get someone else to do it

I got quotes as high as $150, but eventually found the speed shop that would do it for less.

I have nothing but great things to say about warpspeed. Right now I have a Ypipe from them that I installed, I was so happy with it that I am ordering their B pipe once it is ready and having a 2K2 muffler sent to them to get fitted onto a 4th gen. Whenever you call there and get Dallas he is such a nice friendly guy and tells you anything your wondering and helps with install tips etc.

Great place.

When I was talking to them the other day he said they are getting a bunch of orders daily now and also they were heading out to test out the B pipes and other parts they are working on at an offsite location. Things might have slowed down a day or two because of that. I would figure it is coming in soon though.

Send me an email with your name in it and I'll check it out. We have been shipping 4-5 Y pipes per day so I'll have to look it up.
