mesh

buy the mesh material that looks like what everyone else got on this site...at home depot like $3-6....get some cutters that cut metal mesh sheets, get a primer, and paint.

cut out the size you need, prime it, paint it...and then install it(figoure the best way to do it for your own use)...

I made my valance this way, and the only way i secured it was by bending the top/bottom edges to stay in the pockets of the body. I've been driving with it for over 4months & it stays in place

my pic:

I used gutter guard from Home Depot...
My friend used ceramic tile lathe...I think that's what its called...basically, the stuff you lay down before you put the ceramic tile down...

before you start, get some NEW wire cutters...it'll make your life much better....

Use gloves! Your hands will thank you.
Patience is everything. Don't overtrim (easier said than done after spending a couple hours working on this and you're all excited to see the results).

Your grille looks good. I want to do something similar (one in the grille, one in the thin space where the front license plate goes, and one in the bottom valance), but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I made my own, I'll post some pics because I think it looks good.
Question for whoever posted that they painted it. What color did you paint it? I am thinking about painting it black, my car is Sage Mist Green. I think it might look good. If anyone else painted it please post a pic somewhere.

Later,
- Mike

Re: home made grille??

I made my own grille from home depot and it didn't take too long. I cut it with scissors, i had to buy a new pair though, but it's much faster than using wire cutters. It looks very nice and it's cheap. I didn't use gutter guard, just stuff that looks pretty much the same as it. Anyways, good luck and yes...do wear gloves.

I took off the factory grill to make a cardboard template. Then I made an outline on the Home Depot gutter mesh with a marker. Next, I cut it with some big azz scissors ( I was bleeding by the end, no gloves). Then I painted it blcak, then I painted it silver...I know, but trust me.

then I applied it and put the OEM emblem over the mesh... looks good
