why my car broke down

it was the starter, the solenoid went bad for one, the brushes needed to be replaced, and the gear that turned the flywheel locked up. I had the starter repaired for 45 bucks as opposed to a new one which was 165 dollars after core trade in.

After the repair, the starter works fine so far, it sounds better when I crank the car, no more struggling. If the starter keeps working, i definitely reccommend a repair before replacement.

I had regreased the starter a few months ago and the guys said that helped, but apparently i missed a few places. Anyway, just thought id let you guys know that option exists and works so far.

I am glad i saved money because i was just told i was losing my job.
