Valve body question.

I bought a mildly modified 1999 Maxima SE-L from a dealer about 1.5 months ago. The mods in my sig are the obvious ones. My question is this, how could I tell if the valve body has been modded on my car. The shifts aren't as mushy or slow as some people have complained about. The shifts feel firm enough but I never bark the tires on the 1-2 shift. Never having driven an auto max before, I don't know if my car shifts normal or not. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Check for an aftermarket tranny cooler (Hayden?) next to your radiator somewhere...you shouldn't install an aftermarket VB without one of these.

Also, as you normally accelerate from a complete stop you should barely feel the transmission shift gears. I've never been in a VB modified car, but I imagine the shifts would be a bit harsher than stock. Sorry, I know that doesn't help much...

You would defenitely know if it had the VB mod. Trust me, you wouldnt have to ask.
