XM radio has my interest. I want to get the pioneer gex-fm903xm that works on 88.1 FM. No need to remove the bose unit, etc. Yes, I know that this only gives me FM quality and cd quailty sound, but I can live with that.

Question is where can I put the small head unit that displays the song/artist and presets? I want to be able to see the song/artist info.

 

I think there's a sony model that does the same thing. Comes with mounting harness and all. Probably wouldn't be the safest thing to put it on the dash, but its an option I guess.

 

i had it in my 2k2 for a week or so...it just sucks that you hafta use 2 antenna adapters because of nissans diversity antenna..but it still works well..but contrary to your thought of you only getting FM quality and crap..it sounds really well...ive installed many of these pionner units and the quality is remarkable. I had the display come up through my center console pocket...and into the Secondary pocket..the one that opens when you lift up the armrest...i just had the cord chillin there and with some slack so i could pull it out.
