aight...the nite started out aight...we went to go see Van Wilder( it was a funny movie ) then me and my friends went to go eat at in-n-out...did that and we headed toward to the races...a freakin silverado and a cadillac pull up next to me and started tossing beer bottles at the car...couple hit my windshield and the roof but one hit my rear tail light...well...it got busted...the inner and outer...now i have to buy new altezzas...dammit...my friend with his civic was thrown at too...nothing broken...my friend witht the prelude almost got ran off the road...

we pulled into a gas station and a cop was there...we told him wat happened and he was like i can't do ne thing w/o a license plate...dammit...i didn't even think about writing down the license plate...i was tryin the get the f**k out of there...dammit...

i don't wanna pay for new ones but i have too...i'm gonna try and file a report tomorrow...but does ne 1 think insurance will cover this?...i don't think so...but i've never had this problem before...

i have driven with some of my friends who dont have hooked up cars and dont like them and they always threaten to do these things when they see the altezza lights, neons under the car, or those washer lights... people really dont like to look at those and they get angry..

as far as insurance goes, good luck.. you'd be better off throwing about 15 more bottles at your own car and causing some body damage so that you could report some real damage and come away with a new paint job or something..

 

You gotta get the liscence plate. That's the only thing that will save you.

do you have uninsured motorist? if you do then you can probably just say it was damanged in a parking lot and get the insurance co to pay. my gf has something in her policy where she's not liable for damages upto 2,500 for items done when the car is left unattended.

 

i'm not gonna lie to the insurance company...well...i went bak to my red/clears and the car looks so much cleaner now for some reason...it looks tight...just gotta lower it...i installed the new turn stalk/fuses/relay for the stock foglights...now i just gotta put in the mounting brackets and the lights itself...do u know what size the bulbs are?...also what size the reverse lights are?...gotta buy new ones because they were cracked when the beer bottle hit it

 

I don't think it's race-related. It may be due to the fact that your car has a lot of attention-getting type of stuff like the washers etc.

My brother said this dude with a 2k2 Maxima nearly wrecked with him, his girlfriend, and the drivers' girlfriend. They were going to a wedding in BK, NY. As my brother described it this dude has every conceivable flashing blue light on the washers, mirrors, rear backups, rear satellite antenna, 19" rims, so on and so forth. He told me a couple of times cars just pulled up alongside and made nasty comments. A new S4 or M3 gets attention too, but in a different way. I think you're right to put the old stuff back on.

What those people did was wrong but I wouldn't read too much into what idiots do. If it takes removing some of the flashy stuff to rid your life of those a********, then I think it'd be a wise trade-off.

Good idea to have is keep a camera in your car. Since it is so cheap, I keep one around my car. When someone does something that endangers me, I just take shot. Report to police with the photo. Most of people back off from whatever they were planning to do when they see the flash. It is also good in case you get into an accident. (primary reason i keep one in car... but used for different things now).
