If you have a service manual please help

I need help wiring my reverse lights on my 96 maxima. I did a 5spd swap. I believe there are wires that I have to connect to get my reverse lights to work, since most of the plugs on the tranny no longer fit (they were meant for auto). Could someone look these up for me? The haynes manual is too confusing, and no coloring on the wiring. Thanks!

There should be a plug with 4 pins on it connected to the transmission...comes out of the side that doesn't bolt to the engine. It's connected to the position switch. When you're in reverse, there should be continuity between pins 2 and 4, and when you're in neutral, between 1 and 3. Should be a green/white wire (pin 3) coming out of the connector that goes to the back-up lamps. I'll try to give you a little ascii diagram of the plug..
