WHAT DOES TOYLET have on his MAXIMA?!

i just saw a video on clee's webpage and he OBLITERATED this accord CONVINCINGLY!!! Just wanted to know what exactly he put in his car because from my recollection, we couldn't mess with honda accord's 98 and up.....and does toylet have 4th gen or 5th gen?

Is that why the 1995 Maxima was rated at about a half second faster 0-60 than the 2000 Maxima ? (6.5, 95 GXE vs. 7, 2k SE)

And a bit quicker in the quarter mile?

And the fact that all 4th gens are as fast or faster than the 5th gens in the 0-60

Or maybe something has recently changed

And BTW the fastest accord I know of is a 0-60 of 7.6 stock, the 4th Gen Maxima AUTO was 7.3-7.7. So, considering all variables are equal, the Maxima is as fast/faster car compared to Honda's fastest Accord.

The overwhelming majority of your 2000 or so posts were like this:

Hahahah!
Kewl!
LOL!

The remainder of your 2000 or so posts consists of pseudo attempts to be "helpful".

in the 1/4 mile, the 4th gen max (auto) might be a lil faster, but for longer races the v-6 accord(all of them are auto) will catch up........the 5th generation maximas are heavier than the 4th generation maxes........that might be a reason why their 1/4 mile times are higher.......5th gens will beat 4th gens in a longer race ..............if u dun believe.....take your 4th gen and run against a 5th gen for 1/2 a mile........and then we shall see who the stupid one is =)

I've personally driven both (only test drove the 5th gen), but butt dyno goes to the 4th gens. There is no way that the 5 speed 5th gen was faster 0-60 or in the 1/4 mile than my car. It may be exactly the same, but not faster. They put down more horse but weigh more ... stupid Nissan.

95emeraldgxe is right. If a 4th gen were to race a 5th gen for a 1/2 mile, and both cars were stock, the 5th gen will pull. At that speed, weight isn't much of a factor. Besides, the 5th gen was built as a highway runner. It has tons of power up high. However, there are some 4th gens worthy of owning the 5th gen in the 1/4 mile. Since you can only measure true speed at a race track, the 4th gen can come out as the clear winner.

*95emeraldgxe- Have you ever raced down a 1/4 mile track?

Hmm...yes that would make since with their Variable intake manifold and all, but they still only got a 1/4th time of 15.6...now I know mag times can sometimes really f#ck up times, (2k2 max) but they were dead on with the '95-99 5-speeds, so why would it be different for the 2k?

Oh well

Jeez, really. Every friggin' thread around here turns into a 4th gen vs. 5th gen argument. No hate among your own kind.

I can confirm that he's a maxima owner b/c I met him last week at the i-club meet..
What's with the attitude?? A stock 4thgen will average mid 15s to low 16s.... So will a 5thgen... It has been proven that 5thgens can do 150+...My fuel cut off is at 145mph...
4thgens with limiters cut off at 120mph.. Without it, you are still limited to 140... On the long run, a 5thgen is faster...

If you want to find out which is faster (4thgen VS 5thgen), just ask the owner of 5thgenmaximas.com... He'll give you the accurate facts...

CM, Old news. Starts the 4th gen vs 5th gen issue.

Biru, you are not autosexual.

kingrukus, not nice. He has a stock 4th gen, but somehow he drifted his car around a turn, quite nicely. If you like to contest that I own a 2K, no problem.
Go to Maximaproducts.com --> Movies -->anything yo_its_ok.

Will, Ocean Parkway 8:30am - 11am Sunday mornings.

Toylet "blew" a TL-S out the door. Got that video too. 14.98 time slips to boot too. I got 15.04 time slip to boot too.

Gas won't save you.

That was before the limiter elimination, now no limiter, and enough 140mph+ trips to know I have at least another mile before I need to shut down...and I'm pulling hard.

rape is not the word.
