WHAT DOES TOYLET have on his MAXIMA?!

i just saw a video on clee's webpage and he OBLITERATED this accord CONVINCINGLY!!! Just wanted to know what exactly he put in his car because from my recollection, we couldn't mess with honda accord's 98 and up.....and does toylet have 4th gen or 5th gen?

he has a 5th gen .............any stock 5th gen will rape an accord(yes, the v-6 version included)...........4th gens on the other hand will need a lil help from a y pipe and an intake

i've got a 5th gen 5spd. back then i only had a custom catback, custom intake, and a sts.

the accord was a 2k with a intake and catback as well.

Is that why the 1995 Maxima was rated at about a half second faster 0-60 than the 2000 Maxima ? (6.5, 95 GXE vs. 7, 2k SE)

And a bit quicker in the quarter mile?

And the fact that all 4th gens are as fast or faster than the 5th gens in the 0-60

Or maybe something has recently changed

And BTW the fastest accord I know of is a 0-60 of 7.6 stock, the 4th Gen Maxima AUTO was 7.3-7.7. So, considering all variables are equal, the Maxima is as fast/faster car compared to Honda's fastest Accord.

stop magazine racing... 4th gen maxima & accord are abt equal, look @ clee 95 auto vs the accord v6, clee got it off the line then the accord pulled back.

in the 1/4 mile, the 4th gen max (auto) might be a lil faster, but for longer races the v-6 accord(all of them are auto) will catch up........the 5th generation maximas are heavier than the 4th generation maxes........that might be a reason why their 1/4 mile times are higher.......5th gens will beat 4th gens in a longer race ..............if u dun believe.....take your 4th gen and run against a 5th gen for 1/2 a mile........and then we shall see who the stupid one is =)

I agree & I'm a 4th gen owner the 5th gen puts down more hp @ the dyno, not a lot more but still theres a difference

I've personally driven both (only test drove the 5th gen), but butt dyno goes to the 4th gens. There is no way that the 5 speed 5th gen was faster 0-60 or in the 1/4 mile than my car. It may be exactly the same, but not faster. They put down more horse but weigh more ... stupid Nissan.

no one ever tried a 4th gen vs 5th gen race for 1/2 mile so who knows what teh results will be

95emeraldgxe is right. If a 4th gen were to race a 5th gen for a 1/2 mile, and both cars were stock, the 5th gen will pull. At that speed, weight isn't much of a factor. Besides, the 5th gen was built as a highway runner. It has tons of power up high. However, there are some 4th gens worthy of owning the 5th gen in the 1/4 mile. Since you can only measure true speed at a race track, the 4th gen can come out as the clear winner.

Hmm...yes that would make since with their Variable intake manifold and all, but they still only got a 1/4th time of 15.6...now I know mag times can sometimes really f#ck up times, (2k2 max) but they were dead on with the '95-99 5-speeds, so why would it be different for the 2k?

I can confirm that he's a maxima owner b/c I met him last week at the i-club meet..
What's with the attitude?? A stock 4thgen will average mid 15s to low 16s.... So will a 5thgen... It has been proven that 5thgens can do 150+...My fuel cut off is at 145mph...
4thgens with limiters cut off at 120mph.. Without it, you are still limited to 140... On the long run, a 5thgen is faster...

If you want to find out which is faster (4thgen VS 5thgen), just ask the owner of 5thgenmaximas.com... He'll give you the accurate facts...

Gas won't save you.

That was before the limiter elimination, now no limiter, and enough 140mph+ trips to know I have at least another mile before I need to shut down...and I'm pulling hard.
