We got to a light and he said "You ready to get smoked!!??"

I said "WHAT!? ME!?"

He said "Yeah"

So I thought, crap, this guy may be sprayin' or somethin'.

So I said, how fast is it.

He said 13.8's. . . "I got ALOT of stuff done."

My car's a 98 Z28 6spd. . .stock I went 13.5@107, w/ airbox & catback I went 12.75@111.77 best. . .

I have a cam in there, but stock manifolds & cats, so it's not making much difference. . . but the best w/ this setup is 12.65@112.6mph.

All w/ 2.0 60 ft's.

Yesterday, I wasn't in top form of course w/ full tank of gas, 260lb passenger, I estimate my trap speeds were closer to ~107-108mph.

Anyways, it was a fast Maxima, dark colored 5spd. . . I proceeded to put ~4-6 cars on him to ~85mph.

I think 111mph w/ $800 in mods is pretty good.

Once I get my longtube headers on I should be around 115mph.

And if I ever get rid of these gears, I should be good for ~117mph. . .

but that's all bs until I go to the strip right. . .

Haha, thats my boy Brian... aka BriGuyMax on this message board. He called me right after that happened and told me about it. Sounds like you guys had a fun run man... good job. He'll find this and post I'm sure. BTW he's from chicago I'm not, I'm in Michigan. I heard it was a different story from a roll though hehehe.

I never lost. . . or I wouldn't consider it a win. . .

I rolled up at 60mph in 3rd gear hoping he'd slow down and we can nail it from a slower roll. . .but he nailed it, so I nailed it in 3rd w/o the downshift to 2nd.

My 3rd @ 60 is kinda sluggish.

I shift out of my 2nd gear @ 78mph, so I'm sure you can understand.

So what's done to his car?

He was a pretty cocky guy to get beat, not to mention driving like a maniac. I saw him 20 minutes earlier going WOT down ogden. . . then flying through traffic when he saw me.

it was more like 2-3 cars to 85....and that was after you got a 1 car hit from that damn explorer turning left that I had to wait for...and then there's my CRAZY wheelspin....I guess you explained the kind of run from a roll....your car is damn fast....

anyway...good run....you caught me with my "pants down"....I'm running my stock y-pipe (downpipe) and that's one of the biggest hp mods on the maxima....and I hadn't put my suspension on yet...so traction is a REAL issue out of the hole.

If you want to run sometime again to see what my maxima has to offer...I run you from an "EQUAL" start 40-50 roll-on....that way wheelspin won't be a factor...

BTW- I don't know where you saw me driving like a maniac?!?!?!? I was at DGY for a while before I saw you...and the only reason I noticed your car and caught up was becuase you took off turning right onto ogden...

You wanna race my friends 95 Mustang GT...He doesnt have much done to it, mainly exhaust and suspension work. You guys would be a good match.

BriGuyMax would give you a good run from a 40 roll. He beat my friends M Coupe and thats a 13 flat car. His car just doesnt get any traction in 1st.

 

I was checking out you webpage and saw that Cobra. Thats gonna be one nice car, but trust me that car is gonna be a handful to drive. My friend has the Factory Five Cobra with Carbon fiber body. Its never been dynoed, but the estimated hp is somewhere around 500. The car has major traction problems, even with the widest Pilots that can fit on the car. The car gets sideways really easily, due to the short wheelbase.

Brian whats the deal with you racing all these big boys on crowded streets. Last night Brian tried to race my buddies M coupe from a rool and he was doing pretty good, but the M coupe would have won if we kept going.

 

Even with a Supercharger in my 96 max car I wouldnt race my brothers Z28. That kid's car is mad fast. He just did MSD this week and he got a new Crate 350 ZZ4 motor, in his 86 Z28. He ran it at E-town and ran about a 12.5 without the MSD (with a stock ZZ4 motor) !!!!! After this is installed he is lookin at about 12 flat. Anyone wana race him? :O)


p.s. I dont like american cars that much but my brothers camaro is nasty !!!!!

Yes they are! I killed a two of them this past wednesday. they wer both stock running mid to high 13's.

This car will pull over 1g with Blizzaks on it. Suspension is totaly custom, car was built as a demo car for his dad's suspension company.

 

We all know that CHI99Limited likes posting up his races and kills. I wonder if this one would have made it to the board if not for this guy posting is major kill on CHI99Limited boosted max? 3 cars to 85 is a smoke show!

So I got beat by a Modded LS-1...big deal....and I didn't post it because I don't think it's necessary to post about useless stories that everyone already knows the outcome to.....it's a waste of bandwidth. You don't see me posting about the riced out Civic Si I KILLED the other day now do you????

BTW....do some research before you talk smack...I don't even have a "boosted" max.....you haven't even been a member of the .org for a MONTH...and you are already making claims about what I post and don't post about.

 

My mistake! I thought N2O was considered boosting? If using NOS etc.. is not boosting what is it?

 

boosting indicates a positive manifold pressure that can only be achieved by some sort of forced induction (Supercharger or Turbo). Nitrous does not "boost" at all....it simply allows the engine to burn more fuel and make more power becuase it is an oxidizer...and it comes out of the nozzle at a sub-zero temp...making the intake charge VERY cold...and therefore VERY efficient.

BTW....about the 3 cars to 85 thing....all the 3 cars were pulled on me while I was spinning...and soon as I hook up I can run with cars that are capable of low 13s/high12s at the track.

 

Sprint, how do you explain me on 3.48 w/18s beating BrianV (all boltons manual NA at the time) on his 17's @ Carlsbad?

 

Brian V runs 15's with a whole bunch of bolts on..

the rest of us run 14's..
