SMC Short Shifter and ****

For those with the SMC short throw shifter, what kind of **** do you have on it? I would prefer to have a **** that screws on, and because there are TONNES of screw on ones available for Hondas, I was wondering if the SMC has the same diameter threaded section as Hondas.

BTW, I believe the SMC is an 8mm diameter threaded section.

Sola Luna

Quite a number of us are VERY BIG on the Sola Luna ***** for the miata. You can do a search, but it's main benefits include:

(1) Threads down on Maxima shifter (same thread pitch as miata). Not only that, but it threads down TIGHT. Basically becomes one with the shifter rod.
(2) Top of shifter rod threads into **** all the way to the very top, positioning the **** lower than ANY other ****.
(3) Excellent feel in crinkle black, but chrome also available. Round ball is very comfortable. Matches the black boot and my charcoal/black interior very well.
(4) Very reasonable price. Why pay almost twice as much for a momo that doesn't even screw down?

If you do get it, I recommend adjusting the silver collar down 1/5" below the ****, and then putting the boot on top of the collar so you don't feel it's hard edge. the collar will also prevent the top of the boot from slipping down.

Most of us who get an STS go through a phase of searching/buying *****--lookinf for just the right ****. Get the Sola Luna and your search may be over but the luvin' is just beginning.
