15 hours. take all the seats out take the front seats apart(side plastic and backrest from cushion) take off the cloth covers with side cutters, there will be hogrings holding them onto the cushions. then you hog ring the leather back on. you could figure it out but it would be better to have someone that knows what there doing help you. also leather will cost you 1000 new 1500 installed and used may be shi tty and worn out.

he wants the grey seats, not beige..

the seat swap is easy anyway.. 4 bolts and a phillips screw on the non-powered seats.. couple extra wire connectors on the powered ones.

the rear seats are the same.. 4 screws and the rear seat is out too.. takes me about 10 min to remove all the seats in my car. another 10 to put them back in.

Yeah, and I realized he's in Cali, too

that's what I get for not reading the entire thread before posting.

just curious... why would you choose cloth over leather? I absolutely love my black leather seats... a little hot in the summer, but they look like the bomb with black interior.

If you had kids (playing with sharp plastic toys in the backseat), would you want $$$ leather?
what about kids with drinks?
how about cold leather that freezes to your bunghole in the winter before it gets warm? granted, that takes about 2 sec, but still..

there are lots of reasons to get rid of the leather, mainly for convenience of cleaning..
you can't take a water hose and shop-vac to leather.

Seat Swap

Tell you what - I'm in Sunnyvale - meet at my house (it's halfway) and I'll help do the work whether you want to do seat cover swap or just seat swap. Garage, beer, pizza, and Maximas. I used to do all kinds of interior work when my father had his auto-body and car sales business.

Looking at buying my first Max today - dark blue metallic '93 SE 5spd. Black leather int.

-Jacob
