AGX/GC install issues
Hi
I just tried to install my AGX GC coilovers and have had a number of issues:
1. The instructions are not accurate. The drawings show 2 O-rings, they provided only one so I bought one from Home Depot.
2. On the front, the instructions say there should be a bump stop. I did not see any bump stop unless it is part of the dust boot.
3. Could not install dustboot cos coilover is so small. I wlll improvise something. Sucks that nothing exists already.
4. On the back, the AGXs are wider diameter than stock. The split bushing on the back is too fat to fit the lower adjuster sleeve over it after you put it around the shock.
5. Grinding the AGX to fit the adjuster sleeve on the front sucked!
I have only installed on the front (without dustboots). I actually like the tight ride. I don't bottom out any more although it is more stiff.
The install was kind of sucky. Does anyone have suggestions for the rear install. I have tried WD40 and stuff.
I can see how people would have install problems and weird noises if you leave out the plastic bushing which is often stuck to the dustboot or springcap.
