I just can't afford those headlights so I was wondering if that would be a problem to keep the 96 headlights and just do the bumperand grill. Thnaks

This is covered in the "4th gen FAQ" thread up top as well as being discussed plenty of times already.

no problem whatsoever, if u just doing the bumper and grille it should be fine. Although i would suggest getting the 97+ lights just cause they look so much better, i know i did the conversion as well. Its like having a new car. Try looking at some junkyards and what not.

The whole conversion cost me $220. I wasnt really looking to do a conversion, but i was just browsing the recycler.com classifieds and soem guy was parting out his car and it was black!! So i called him up told him ill give him $200 for everything then he said $220. At this point i was too gity to keep negotiaeing and just said ok. Here is what i got for $220:

98 trunk w/ spoiler
98 headlights and corner lights
98 front and rear bumper

Everything was also black a little double bonus

Only thing i bought serparate was the grille so i guess $250 total

so far I am in about $280

$30 for a white SE grille (matches my car color)

$100 for a silver bumper cover ( will be $$$ for paint)

$135 for the foglight kit with brackets and all.

I'll be keeping my regular headlights and rear until I can get some more $$$

I'm hoping to get a white trunk so I won't have to repaint it.

my main worry is getting the front bumper repainted.
