Clutch ACT

Ok its gettin pretty close to when Im gonna have to have the clutch replaced...I have a 30K miles old clutch in there now but it slipps like a mother if you get on it at all...Under normal driving conditions it completly fine but spinning 2nd or 3rd is out of the question...theres a 95% chance I will be gettin the ACT Street clutch setup but there are a few questions I have before I go spending 750$ for a clutch/installed...

I have an aftermarket clutch in there now and the pedal is really easy to push down, is the ACT like that at all ?? I think mine is softer than stock now
Whats the real reliability of these clutchs ??
How long have you had yours ?? Still chippin 2/3 ??
With the street version kill my tranny ??
Will the ACT last as long as other/OEM clutch kits ??

I just really dont wanna waste my money if the thing is going to crap out in 4 years

Thanks guys
-Matt

I've only had my ACT II for about 5 months and I love it still. The pedal is a little bit stiffer than stock was, but is fine. I can easily chirp 2 and 3 but I try to keep that to a minimum. Engagement took a little time to get used to but now it's perfect. I can't say anything about if it will last since I've only had it for such a short while. Maybe someone else will give you that answer. My stock clutch lasted for 112,000 miles, not bad imho. Hope this ACT lasts as long - funny thing is, I'm driving my car harder than I ever did, so it doesn't have a good chance.

This is a good question you ask how long will it last, okay we have manuals so my opinion I would have to say is up to you, the way you drive, your driving habits that will determine how long that clutch will last. I just installed the ACT on my car the street disc and the modified PP, the pedal is soft just like the stock pedal one. I also chirp my tires up to 4th gear of course I only do this at the track. Good clutch, but I heard that avalon sells a clutch that is superior to ACT and is called the Mcloud.

I've had my ACT street clutch for 30K miles....and It still grips like new...

even with my 100-shot...it has NEVER slipped

If you don't abuse it....it will last...
