A word from the wise about 20"

For those who are considering 20' for your Max DO NOT take any advise from those who don't even have them it is beyond me that so many people have so much to say about how it rides and what kind of problems will occur and they probably never even seen a 20" rim.

I have my 20" and luv'n it. I have no complaints, only ones who seem to complain about 20s are the ones who don't own them.

All my Max peeps who are rollin on dubz and luvin it you feel me on this one!

i already ordered my 19" wheels and can't wait for them to come in. this will be my 3rd set of wheels for my max in less than 2 years. the last 2 sets i had was 18x8.5 but they looked kinda small. so now i'm going with 19".

i don't care if my car is slow as long as i look good all the time, not just for 14sec. the reason i got the max is because i have a family, if i want to go fast i would of gotten another rx7 with a racing motor like i had in the past which will run circles around any max. just to clear things up my max run about 20sec in a 1/4 ml.

True true. Big rims = horrible ride quality, and not much better handling than 17" rims. Makes your car slower too. But if you like stylin' with the rims, then great. It's all good.

I don't see anything wrong with 20" wheels. Especially if you have a slow automagic. Look at some of the past threads. The best a N/A Maxima can do is low 15s or maybe even high 14s. Kind of sad really because some stock 5spd Maxima could achieve that already. I'm done with power mods. No point in putting more power mods I'll still be slower than most 5spd. I think 20" is a bit too much for me, I'll go with 18", maybe even 19". Then, I'll probably do the stereo mods. And later, maybe even a new paint job.

Not everyone here is about making their family sedan into a race car, therefore speed is not a concern, most people don't race their cars. I support the 20's club although I will not join it until I buy a Yukon Denali

Your overall wheel+tire diameter is over 3 inches taller than stock Isn't the "Plus Concept" rule-of thumb when increasing wheel size to keep the overall diameter size variance to no more than 1/2 inch?

My bad. I thought GMC Yukon and GMC Denali were two difference cars.

Ignorance is bliss.
