I am so sorry. This is very sad. My prayers are with his family. I hope everything will be all right for them soon.

This really sucks - another horrific tragedy 'caused by racing / extreme fast driving.

Sorry to hear that. That's why I hardly race on the street anymore. Leave it on the track IMO. Just not worth it.

i can sympathize with you. my one friend died on jan 1, 2002, while he was in a formula 1 firebird doing about 113 mph. they were driving at about 7:30, and a car pulled out of a side-street. they swerved, hit the curb, and rolled 3 times in the air. they hit a tree, and my friend got killed. sorry to hear about your friend. hope everything goes well from now on. and for everyone else, be safe.

First of all, I'm sorry for your loss KR. I hope everything turns out okay for your friend's family and that we don't hear about things like this happening very often...

Secondly, I think a lot of people mod their Maxima's to make them quicker. If you can use that extra power (on or off the track) responsibly then there's no harm in modding to improve your car and you should have fun with it. But if you're modding so that you can take your car up to 140mph and risk your own life and the life of the people driving around you then I'd say it's definetly a bad idea.

Just my $0.02
