I just got a 99 Maxima and it doesnt have climate control!! Is there any way I can convert it!!? I asked Anton about it but he said it was not worth the time...Any ideas???? Thanks, Jim

 

I agree, not worth the time....you would need to install the sensors throughout the car.

Auto Climate control is nice, but it's not worth the time, effort, and money needed to convert it. The biggest problem would be that you'd need to get sensors all over the car (to measure ambient outside temp, the temp in the car, etc.). You could probably pay someone else a whole lot of money to do it for you or you could do it yourself (and still probably have to put out a lot of cash). ie, it's not just a "swap the old climate control unit out for a new auto one".

IMO I like the Manual CC better (what I have in my '98 SE), that way all your settings stay the same & it's easier to use whereas everytime you start the Auto. CC you have to adjust everything again every time (experience from driving my sis's '97 SE b4 she got rid of it)
