Chrome or Silver Finish for rims

I need soem help in deciding what to get regarding rim finish. Money isn't really a factor since insurance is covering it. I wanted chrome, but have heard that they are very hard to keep in good shape. And if they get scratched or chipped they start to peal. So should I just settle for like a machinedd finish rim? I'm going to get 18" Maybe soem Konig Imagines (in opal) or some OZ Anteras. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

So chrome does get all messed up? And will end up looking like poo then in about a year or so if you don't take care of them, right? Thanks man.

i gots 18" silver and they are lovely, its not quite the same bling you get off the chrome but they dont need a whole lot of light to shine bright and look good.

Chrome = drug dealer look

Silver = more sporty look

I have Mille Miglia Actions in 18" Silver and I love them, I had chrome and they are too high maintenance.

Wheel locks don't do anything. If they want them, they'll get them. My friends rims got jacked and they used freon to crack the locks off and left them on his dash. I thik I'll go with silver or machine finish I'm not resposible enough for chrome.
