That model number (GSS342) is the same as the 2nd gen Eclipse pump (fits 4th gens), but the number on the site says FPF003 versus FPF006. Same pump?

Piece of crap... now I see GSS317 or GSS342 for the Mustang (2000) vs. GSS340 for 85-87

I dont remember the exact part# for the Walbro pump the 4th Gen guys are using but I have it and I still have'nt installed it yet...Its a direct fit for the 4th Gen guys but for the 5th en it needs some custom tweeking! TheNewCLimax is the only one who has it installed for the 5th Gen I believe. If this new pump is a direct drop in and it works ok, maybe I'll sell mine to one of the 4th gen dudes and go with that one! If we can straightenthe part#'s out. Can anyone confirm that this pump works?

I have that same pump in my Stang too, it takes a while for the gears in the pump to "break-in", I was making like 65-70psi at idle for about 7 days, now it is fine. And it will hold a steady 85psi for me on the bottle, wher my stock pump would only push 65psi.

It is the *NEWER* Mustang pump.
I told them GSS342 & what they gave me had a different p/n on it but they said it was the same (2000 mustang).
No worries, this bad boy plugs right in!

Didn't Deac's mechanic tell him that pump would not fit?

Would someone PLEASE explain why you guys have such wood over this fuel pump? Does it flow that much better than stock? What's the deal?

More fuel = able to force more nitrous or air into the engine.

Too much nitrous or air and not enough fuel = BOOM

These guys are pushing the limits of what the stock pump could handle and there were NO aftermarket intank pumps available.

At least that's what they thought, since Deacs' mechanic said it wouldn't fit.

Now they can safely and reliably run 10+psi or 100-shot.

REALLY?!?!! You can safely run 100-shot with this pump? How much does the pump cost?

Depends what you mean by "safely". Lots of 4th gens. have been running this pump with 100-shot.

Here is the first 5th gen. to run a 100-shot:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=114756

I don't know the cost.

Would it make any sense to get an upgraded fuel pump even if you are planning to stay N/A?
