dyno question

ive been on the .org for a couple months now and i believe ive had enough time to compare my maxima to many of others, in terms of things that have gone wrong. i have 38k on it, and i have a strong suspicion that i may have the slipping problem that many others have been posting about. most assuredly i have the windnoise problem. whenever i have passengers in the back i have to speak MUCH louder than normal in order to be heard (and i already have a booming voice, ).

my parents are coming up from florida for my sisters college grad and im going to talk to my father about all of these issues and see what he wants to do (i cant afford much myself, im barely keeping my head afloat because of my car payments). however, more than likely, especially because he's extremely old fashioned korean in his 50s, he's going to be like, "as long as it runs... theres no problem..." much to my disdain. however, i'll do my best, for the maxima.

i do have a few questions though. another concern i have is dealing with some of the members posts about powerloss, or even their maximas not feeling like 222 hp. since i drove a 4-speed manual toyota tercel before buying my maxima i have no real control to judge by. i do know that my maxima is WAY faster than the tercel, but cmon, almost anything is faster than a tercel. because of this, ive decided to get my maxima dyno'd and see how the car is performing. i adore my maxima, i hope everything is up to par.

how much does dyno test usually cost? im getting the berk intake and i would like to do a before/after however if this thing is too costly im just going to have to stick with a before to see how the car has held up these few years. also, what the hell do i ask them? techs at the shop? "um, can you dyno my car?" or... ???

i should be the maxima.org permanent newbie.

I've see $40-$100 ( ) for three runs on the dyno (no tuning). Usually, you call up the dyno shop and schedule an appointment. They'll know what to do (I hope) if you tell them you want a dyno.
