question about tints?

question about tints?
i seen a car with the headlights tinted with a purple looking color from afar, and when i get closer to the headlights it seems as if it disappeared what kind of tinting is this????

It is not a tint, it's the bulb.

its either Xenon headlights, or just the bulb color. Tinting the headlights can you say illegal
