found parts for conversion but need advice

found trans 62,000 miles $750 w/ 30 day warranty, coming straight out of a 95 max that got rear ended and destroyed from back.

he has all parts but it's not abs so i'm buying brand new:

driveshafts - 200?
clutch kit - 350
master/slave cylinders - 100
return spring - ???
Locking pin and clip for the clutch pedal to the master cylinder - ???
plus 400 dollars in installation

use same starter from my auto....

now that's 1400 dollars combined, but there are also the other small parts like:

2 shifting rods (support rod + control rod) (acquire used w/ all the hardware)

1 shifter (Acquire used to get nuts and bolts (buy with the shifter rods)
1 shifter console piece (interior)
1 shift consul bracket (Replaces your auto one) (interior) (dealer name plate bolt and transaxle hole cover)
1 brake pedal
1 clutch pedal
Hydraulic lines for clutch
1 extra set of tranny harnesses (might come w/ 5spd tranny)
1 18ga wire and wiretaps
Assorted cotter pin set.
1 Manual Fly wheel
1 Manual motor mount
Tranny Fluid (GL-4 or redline is preferable)
2 nuts that fit the threads on the clutch pedal.
1 bolt that bolts in the top of the clutch pedal (the dealer can find it's size for you)
1 bolt that connects the control rod to the tranny (the dealer can find it's size for you)

all these parts i plan to strip from car...now that's 1800 i'm going to spend on conversion plus these small parts which may run me like 100?

MY QUESTION TO ALL OF YOU IS: will these small parts run me about 100 dollars? are my prices for the pieces i'm buying brand new correct, and does this sound like a good to descent deal? or am i getting jipped?

all insights and 2 cents will be appreciated...this looks like the deal i'll go with...or i can get a trans from somewhere else cheaper and get rest of the pieces from them....let me know what i should do guys

i don't know anything about conversions and the such, but wouldn't it be a lot easier to sell your car and buy another one with 5-speed for the ~$2000 it is gonna cost you?

and if not, is spending 2k on a conversion really worth it?...just wondering

Motor mount from Nissan is about $110. Used flywheel is at best price $35 dollars used. Cluth/brake pedals about $10 new for both of them. Check out www.thepartsbin.com and www.car-parts.com for more info. And when doing a search, look for 97+ parts so it won't bring up the "thru 1/94 from 1/95" or whatever, and you'll also be getting a newer part than if you searched for 95-96 parts. Only thing on that is that the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder have different part #'s. Again, like Iron Lung and many other ppl have said, try raxles.com or something like that for the axles. If not, tehy are $100 and $150 for the manual ones from auto zone, and you can probably get about $100 total back from both cores. Maybe different prices for locking diff. axles.

Pacesetter (S)hort (T)hrow (S)hifter or STS, about $75. Extra set tranny harness is the ECU so your MIL doesn't come on, but isn't mandatory, car may idle a little funny(~800rpms)

I have all the part #'s for clutch piping and shift linkage/rods, if you need them.

This is what I've found during my research. Some of this info has come from HLH, Mr Cranman and Iron Lung. Thanks guys.

wow, well, all these parts, aren't they going to run me about close to 200+? so it would be best to just ****** them off the car right?

^^^^^^All these parts should be like 50 dollars....fly wheel 35, mount 110 brand new!, heck, they better give me these small pieces for like 75 max...and is there anything besides my auto starter that i can use on the 5 speed? any pieces at all? or everything has to come from 5 speed?

the only things that are 'interchangable' would be the starter, because you cant interchange the trannys thats for sure. thats all, just the starter.
