Just undo the tubing and pop it out. Pliers might (probably) be needed to get it out of the hole. Then put the new one in and reattach the hoses.

What I did was losen the bolt that holds the tubing that connects the rubber tube to the PCV valve.

Do this and you can do the job in 10 minuites.

When I changed mine, it was also very hard to remove. But, I don't like wasting any more time than I have to when working on cars, so I just cut the old hose and installed a new one.

When I replaced mine there was a little rubber gromet inside the whole that the pcv valve sat in. My new one was all plastic and didn't have a gromet so I left it in but it doesn't seem to go in all the way ( doesn't fall out but lip isn't flush witth the metal on the engine is this ok?

I don't remember seeing any rubber grommet. I replaced the PCV valve with a genuine Nissan one. It didn't come with a grommet, but the valve did fit flush with the metal, as did with the old one. Maybe, when I change it again I'll lookout for it.

I had trouble changing mine too -- i would suggest cutting the hose and installing the new PCV with new hose...also, the PCV should sit FLUSH -- I used a screwdriver and hammer to gently TAP the PCV into place.

I think if the PCV wasn't flush, then the PCV's functionality may be hampered...

I have a question for you guys. Did the car feel any different after changing the PCV valve? I already did the fuel filter, ATF flush, knock sensor, and spark plugs seem to still be in good condition. The PCV valve is the only thing I haven't done. I already ordered one, should come in next week. So, any difference? Thanks.

You won't feel any difference except what's in your head. Kinda like how the car feels faster after washing and waxing for 4 hours...

It will keep you engine happy though by venting all the blowby gases and not letting the bad fumes dilute and crud up your oil.

Your idle might be smoother -- certainly, your fuel economy will improve! mine certainly did!
