I would say its expensive and risky...I would never let anyone cut a hole in my roof if they paid me...but if your into it look around...maybe your best bet is a good dealership like the Nissan dealership in Hawthorne NJ since a dealership may have the most experiance puttin them in
my .02$$$

Aftermarket sunroofs/moonroofs always seem to be prone to leaking. They never seal up as well as a factory installed one.

Just be careful...

for something like a sunroof - the dealer is the best place(and the only place) that i would trust. yes - it will run you about 800 bucks - thats how much it wood have cost if you would have gotten it from the dealer in the first place when you first bought your car

Ok, thanks to all who have responded. Thinking about it but prob won't go through with this idea, I am also shakey about letting others cut a hole in my roof. Once again, thanks for your opinions.

well, i agree what the ppl have to say on this board... if u REALLY want it, get it done w/ dealers... aftermarket ones... i'm not so sure. Whoever does it, has to be experienced and the labor itself is gonna cost alot because when u cut a hole in ure roof, you weaken the integrity of ure chassis.. just be careful and be willing to pay an expensive price for it.

I got quoted $1,400 here in Northern New England. That included instilation. I have been searching around for a long time as well, and talked to many people with many horror stories. The only people that seem to be satisfied are people that go through the dealerships...hence, higher cost.

Dealer Install still= aftermarket

Dont do it even at a dealer. Nissan still cannot "install" a quality afternmaket sunroof. Odds are the dealer sends it off somewhere. Holes still have to be cut. That qualifies it as after market. Factory sunroofs come installed in a roof that was stamped with the hole in it. Aftermarket sunroofs equal a wallet with alot less dough and headaches down the road.

If it is not factory, do not have it.

Anyways, I don't think I can get a sunroof with the budget I'm on. Still have a lot of mods to get for my car (exterior, interior, and engine). Don't have the time and money to get this.
