Both are good ... Haynes is slightly better.

I remember that Daniel B. Martin recommended the Haynes manual and so I bought one.

Correct me if I got it mixed up...

But I think the Haynes is more 4th gen oriented, at least picture wise and everything. It does cover years 93 thru 99.

Grab both. Thats what I did and for some things I like Chiltons better and for some Haynes. It can change depending on what I am working on and the wording/pictures on that subject.

I really thank DBM for doing so much for the Maxima owners. I bought the Haynes too.
