I was going to use rubbing alcohol on my dash trim to get rid of some extra residue from my dash kit that I took off but I'm afraid that it will fade it. If any of you have used it please let me know if it did anything to your dash trim.

Rubbing alcohol will not fade it, but beware, don't scrub too hard, it doesn't take much for the alcohol to degrade the residue. Also, don't use nail polish remover, that crap WILL fade your dash.

BTW, using goof off, etc.

I was drunk one night, and slept in my car, i was so drunk that i set my gum on the arm rest of my driver door, well, i didn't take it off till the next day, i used some goof off, and it scrubbed right off. However, by scrubbing the vinyl was wrinkled and i thought it was gonna be like that for life, it was about the size of 2 quarters, the next day, i looked down, and after it dried it was back to normal, so don't freak out if this happens to you
