20th Anniversary Maxima guage cluster in a 3rd gen?

I love the new Guages Clusters on the 20th ann. Max's. Could one be swapped into a 3rd gen?

It probably CAN be done, but it'll be a pain in the ****.. I wouldn't recommend trying it.
you have to make sure all the sensors and stuff are of the same type.. our speed sensor is electronic.. some use an actual rotating shaft.. I doubt the 20th anniv max uses that type, but who knows.
it's most likely got a speed sensor like ours, but since the final drive ratio in the tranny is different and the engine RPM are different, your speed and RPM will not be correct on the tach or speedo.. this will also cause the ODO to be off.

fuel, oil, temp, dummy lights, etc are also the same type of beast.. the work required to switch it all over would be about as much fun as a VG/VQ engine swap.
