Next car?

I'm curious, but what would your next car be? And I mean a car you can afford, not your dream car. Most people can't afford their true dream car. My next car will definately be an import...Im looking at a TT gen2 300ZX, 240SX silvia, V6 accord coupe, or a mid 90's RX-7. My next car must be a stick shift

i know everyones entitled to their own opinion, but the V6 accord coupe doesnt belong in your list. 240sx -> Sylvia, thats an awesome choice if u dont mind the work involved, and also what problems u might run into. mid 90s RX7, its hard to come by one thats in good engine shape, the apex seals on the engine start to go after about 60-70k miles, if its been through some spirited driving. 300ZXTT is awesome choice, in my opinion the best on your list. But bc i cant afford a Z im most likely looking at the 240sx to sylvia.

My car club has mostly Nissans and Mazdas. And by far my favorite car is my teammate's 300ZX TT. Cream with black leather.

Not playing devil's advocate, but wanted to see what you meant by afford. Like I said the other night, with only 2 grand down you can lease a new 325i for $349/month. A person on minimum wage could "afford" that. If you want a $349/month payment on a 2k2 SE, and buy with 36 mos, same lenght as the lease, you need to put 14 grand down.

You'd be amazed, when your morgage is over 2 grand a month not having to pay $349 on your car helps, because you can find many ways to sundown to put that money into the home.

Not to be funny either, I don't even think I can afford a new Maxima as my next car!! So this one better not break down on me, thank goodness it's paid for.

hard one..

Current: '95 jetta
Next: 02 nissan maxima se (if i can afford it)

or

2002 vw jetta. i can get the VR6 semi loaded model for 20 grand. That's a good 5k less than the stripped down max.

or

2001 jeep grand cherokee (*cough* i know.. but i can it at 22 grand. they have 2 left over from last year's delivery and want to sell them fast before bringing in the 2002 models)

or

again a maxima. i want this car but i am not sure if i can afford it. not with bachelor's tuitition fees coming up. still, if i push it i can afford it. *sigh*

dude, in your sig, with the "riced" out cavaleer, domestics don't use the "rice" descriptive. They use "corn". so the proper description would be "got corn?" get it?

very undecided here... we'll see how work and school goes and where it takes me...

Possible future cars:
-A 95-99 5spd Maxima
-2k2 6 speed Maxima
-97 or so 240SX 5spd
-2k + black on black 325ic 5 speed
-G35 coupe
-92-94 SE 5spd
-E36 M3

all of these crossed my mind, depending on how good of a job i'll have in the future.. these also vary, my next car will most likely not be until 2004 or so if it will be a 2k2 Max, G35 or BMW because I'll wait for their value to drop 1st If it will be earlier I'll shoot for a used Max again or a 240SX, but the new Bimmer or Max WILL come sooner or later..

Looking at the G35 coupe. It probably wont be available where I am moving too in 2 years so I'm gonna geta Z350 or special import a G35 coupe

I will probably return to the max family after either of those 2 cars.

BMW 330i w/ Sport Package. I'm undecided on the tranny since it has the Tiptronic option, it doesn't matter to me. The color would either be Jet Black w/ Black, Silver w/ Black or Orient Blue w/ Black.

i will never lease any car. i want to be able to do whatever i want to it.

by the way, when i say cars you can afford, i don't mean dream car unless you have that kind of money. but if you had that money, you would already own one, so the lamborghinis, ferraris, the cleran f1's are dream cars, lets stay within our means.

Why VR6? Why not buy a 1.8T, and chip it. It will be cheaper, better fuel economy, and faster...

IMHO, i think 5 speed is the WAY TO GO.... cuz that's what i have, and even tho it's a 325, it kinda makes up for the less power...
although, u must keep in mind, you can get a paddle shift retrofit if u get the steptronic tranny (sorta like in the M3's) which i think is VERY cool...
it's all up to you tho, a 330 with a 5sp is a very nice choice... just remember to get the Sport Package... a MUST HAVE...
