Ate an SVT Lightning for dinner tonight.....and a pullied GTP too!

Furbiss112 and I were crusing to the local car hangout in the Chicago suburbs with his friend who has an intake/pully GTP.

I ran the GTP a couple of times...no juice and pulled him easily. I was rather impressed with my car....especially since I'm running one step colder plugs...gapped really small.

Then I ran into a new '02 SVT Lightning and ran him from a 50 roll...this time...with JUICE....he got WORKED....I put approx 3-4 cars on him from 50-100mph.....afterwards...he tried to find out what I had in my car at the local hangout...and I just told him "intake and exhaust man"

he was stock...in stock form they run mid 13s....I SHOULD be running low 13s to high 12s with the power that I have...the only problem is actually getting that power to the ground...

Lightnings should be called "SVT Lightnings" not "Ford Lightnings"
yes Ford does suck, but the Lightnings are different animals, very high quality in and out

High 13's in a FWD car on street tires. If you were RWD it would be better. We are what we are. Its still pretty cool to reel in a fast RWD car down the 1/4 mile, the hicks just hate it LMFAO!

I've drivin a Lightning, so I know it's power...I feel that a 5spd Maxima like briguy's could keep up with it down low...why? Becuase chances are the Lightning is gonna sit there and smoke the tires due to it's 400+lb.-ft. of torque.

But from a roll...definatally NOS will be required.

My friend ('02 SVT) raced a Volvo at a stoplight..yes, a volvo. It was some foolish kid who wanted to get whooped in front of everyone I guess.

I was behind the Liightning...he let the dumb kid in the Volvo have the head start, then just lit up the tires, and his back end spun back and forth violently, and he took off, and eventually passed the retarded kid in the Volvo.

My dream is to supercharge and 5spd my max, and to own a black lightning....what a duo that would be!

The SVT lightnings i have seen actually hook up well. SVTs have a better chance from a standstill than a roll because of their drag coefficient. I still wish that this guy driving a new Lightning on the highway about a year ago would have raced me, so I could have SPANKED him.

One day why don't you follow the SVT through a few high-speed turns. If he starts to feel nauseas, don't be surprised. Don't get me wrong it's a good car, but for the money you can do so much better. You seem a little overobsessed with it. Maybe you need to drive an SVT Cobra, WS6 Ram Air, or just an SS. You'll leave that Lightning in the smoke as you are left in the smoke by him now.

Actually, the Lightnin' handles very well. Sport suspension and very fat wheels make it corner very nicely.

You know you'd take a brand new lightning over your granny car anyday bish

Now, go mow the lawn like I am so you can afford some new fogs or somethin..

It's a pick up. What's its drag coefficient again? And it pulls .85gs... nothing a modded Max can't handle. Yes, I'd take it over my Max. But I'd sell it and buy another can in a SECOND. Can you say WS-6? Or Z28 SS? Or even G-35 (though not as fast I would rather have it any day)? And no offense, but if the Maxima is a granny car, what is that? It's fast, but isn't it a still a pick-up? And what do people do with pick-ups? Haul groceries and materials. And if you like them so much why don't you just ask your mommy to go buy you one. Oh, and BTW nice Altezzas.

I would NOT take a Lightning over my maxima...ANY DAY

all they have going for them is their speed.....

I hate trucks, and I hate automatic transmissions....lightnings don't impress me at all...

Then, you'd better stop plaigiarizing your term papers! Keep doing what you're doing and you're gonna get caught, then suspended and no one will hire you once they find out. Then, you won't be able to afford anything .. you'll end up selling your Maxima and buy a 3 cylinder Geo Metro!

Whatever it is, good luck with the Lightning dream & stop PW the red/clear GD! Move on

I, Craig R., have never plagerized in my ENTIRE life.

You deleted the Original red/clear deal ho, I am just leaving my mark in the new one, and letting them know that it'll take MUCH longer than 2-6 weeks to get their tails..

Hmm...I think i'd agree with you on selling it...i'd rather have a Cobra 6-speed...Mmmmm...but I thought you didn't like muscle cars Cyrus

Briguy, ...what do you think about the new Dodge S-R/T10 ? Viper engine and a 6-speed Manual...would you take that?

You know what i like about the new Lightnings...Altezzas. Anyway you look at it, its still a pick up truck. I wouldnt be caught dead cruising around in a pickup truck, even one thats fast. Pickups are made to do work, such as hauling materials, thats the only reason I would need one.

quit bashing trucks... my second vehicle is a truck that i enjoy almost as much as my car...the only reason i don't enjoy it as much is 6mpg that really blows...

but considering i could roll up onto my car's hood without thinking about it or feeling it much... yea i like it... oh and the super hot custom cams in the 302 that allows me to pull a 15.0 on 35's!!!!!! makes me like it when people say oh its a pickup! put street tires on and kiss the max goodbye!!! esp since i can also put the 35's or larger on and go when the max can't in the woods and up rock hils!! soo much fun to have 650ft'lbs of torque and crawling over anything in your path!!!

so umm quit the truck bashing.... they aren't for everyone just like the max isn't for everyone... nor is a riced out honda but some people still like them and it is thier opinion that counts... if they like it cool... no need to bash which is why you will never see me personally bash a ricer in public... i may say i don't like how it looks but i don't make fun of them EVER!!!!
