For Infiniti owners or whoever knows...

could someone tell me if the tail light (clear signal lens)
of a 1999 I-30 fit a 1997 which has yellow signal lens?

What do you want to do? just switch the whole corner assembly? Yes they are compatible, but the colors of the reds won't match up well. I would suggest just doing the clear corner mod on your car.

here are 2 examples of what I've done
this is the maximadriver.com clear corner mod:

that's exactly what i wanted! thanks!!! i guess i'll try throwing them in the oven. any suggestions?

I wouldn't do the oven, too many people have said that they over cooked them and the colors faded. I would do the heat gun (25.00@home depot) or a hair dryer. When you pull them a part, its a pain because we have clips instead of screws to hold the 2 parts together. so just be careful and take your time when doing this, DONT start from the rouded cornerside and don't be fooled by the strength of the inner flat edge that goes towards the trunk. Those are the 2 most common places to crack the lense ($80.00 each + Shipping) if you bust it.

Yes it can. I was gonna do this a couple of years back butwhen I found out that all three tail light pieces were gonna cost me over a grand, I just cleared out my '96 tail lights instead.

wow 1k? I just got 2 new corners for 80 each and was told the center piece is 180. thats under 400.
