Larry is setting up a group deal for the kit. Judging from the photo's he sent me it looks to be the 3d Molded one.

This was his post in the other board:

I'm trying to set up a group buy on wood and carbon fiber dashs for Maximas. Email me at larry98@ev1.net for info and pics. Prices are as follows:

89-2002 Maxima $215.00

From what i understand, yes you are correct. The molded one's will look flush on your panels w/ no gaps whatsoever. The flat one's will just stay on top of the panels and won't fully cover them.

if i were to get it, any idea on how would i make my stereo deck match the dash kit colors? I swapped out the Clarion and put in a different one so I had to install a stereo dash kit to make the new one fit. It's black so I'm thinking it wouldn't match those Dash Kits. maybe i should put my Clarion back.

It says on the other forum that he's only getting Wood or Carbon Fiber -- I would be interested in getting the Aluminum. I was going to purchase a molded dashkit from DiscountDash.com any day now. I'll wait to see what this guys story is though.

The "molded 3D" kit is simulated aluminum NOT real brushed aluminum.

IMO simulated looks cheap.

Pillager has this same aluminum molded dash kit from DiscountDash.com. It looks awesome on his car, and doesn't appear to be fake at all. Molded dash kits look 10x's better than any flat dash kit, anyday.

I agree they fit better and cover the parts better, but they don't look like METAL. It's more of a plastic look.

Not what I'm going for.

I believe most of that is Foltec or whatever interior paint.

Damn that does look good.

I just got the top of the line kit from www.wooddash.com, for the 2K2 with Navi, brushed aluminum. I got it from an ORG member who ordered it from them, and changed their mind. I will post pictures when I install it, I should get it this week...
