I'm getting a good deal on a 97 Trunk with the spoiler holes already in it, and I wanted to know how to tranfer my cuurent spoierl to the new trunk. Do I need to watter proof it with silicone or somethin? any ifno would be greatly appreciated.

umm. don't you have a 96 max?? did you smash up the rear of the car and do you have a nissan wing on now? if so you will probably need a wing hardware install kit from nissan. it comes with all the clips you need, actually you could buy the clips by themselves and use the parts you have now.. the clips usuallt break when taking off the wing... the hole should line up perfect if you have a oem wing on now.

Its pretty simple. From iside the trunk reomve the carpet.(warning those plastic push-ins are a biotch. Garenteed you will break a few, im srry) After cursing that u broke some plastic screws reach inside u should see 4 screws, 2 per each side. i think they are 10mm hex bolts. After those are taken off go back to the topside of the trunk. The spoiler is still held in by plastic snap-ons further outward than the hex bolts. Reach on hand under the spoiler and on hand on the trunk and apply firm(not ripping out) pressure. It should snap off. Repeat on otherside and bam, ur spoiler is off. Once u got it off you should know how to tansfer it so i hope this helps.

Post *****

I think the 97+ trunks look better than the 95-96 mainly because they dont have the little ripple on the bottom. Some people like doing subtle changes to their cars....

not to get into the middle of this, but i dont know if "tasteful" is the word to describe carbon fiber dash trim... i would say real wood in an audi tasteful. its preference, carbon fiber might be "race-like" or something. what is questionably tasteful in my opinion is trenz grills. to each there own
